It’s your turn…

My friend and i were hanging out the other night and decided that we were hungry but we didn’t want to cook nor did we want to go out and eat somewhere, so we found the happy medium of take-out. We made a deal, i would order it and they would go pick it up- pretty sweet deal, right? I also remembered at the same-time that i didn’t have my charge card or cash on me, my friend said no worries, they would cover it this time and i would get it next time. Next, we decided Thai food sounded good. So i ordered and my friend went, paid, picked it up and came back. Now, i believe there is etiquette to ordering food, especially when someone else is covering. Usually i base what i am ordering on what the person paying orders. Well, i started to do that and decided that i wanted pot stickers (they are so yummy) and some Pad Thai, regardless of what the price was (honestly i didn’t really think to look at the price- Oops). So when my friend came back with the food i felt somewhat bad to find out that food/takeout for two cost a small fortune. On top of that, i thought the taste of the Pot Stickers would make up for the cost of the food and unfortunately that was not the case. Yup- i had expensive, bad Thai food that i made my friend buy for me. Nice friend, i am, huh? The moral of the story is pay attention to prices when ordering out and don’t get more then what you really need. Oh, and you might want to think twice before you ask me to order take-out :) i guess it will be my turn to buy for awhile…
